Our Story

A Vision Born from Lived Experience

Streams of Hope began with a family

For more than 15 years, founders have served as foster and adoptive parents, leading faith-based foster care communities along the way. As a transracial adoptive family with five children — three biological and two from foster care — this work is deeply personal.

Along the way, one truth became clear: Foster families thrive when they are not alone.

Children from hard places heal when surrounded by steady, caring adults.

Older adults long for meaningful purpose.

And churches are uniquely positioned to create places where all of that can come together.

A Faithful Partnership

Streams of Hope is being developed in partnership with the Anglican Church of St. Andrew the Evangelist in Merrillville — a congregation with over 40 years of faithful presence that has chosen to explore donating its land so this vision can take root.

Together, we are reimagining church property as a place where worship, care, and daily life meet.
